"Bonnie And Clyde - A Folk Opera - songs telling the story of the legendary American 1930's gangsters Clyde Barrow and Bonnie Parker. Dust Bowl Depression era riffs. Unbridled and unmediated defiance and rebellion from a time when the ecology was collapsing, the economy was exponentially redistributing wealth upwards and banks were dragging families out of their homes and onto the rooves of jalopies. Familiar? Gangsters glowed like Robin Hood. Bonnie And Clyde’s violent ride across America stirred a mixture of sympathy and outcry. Bonnie And Clyde riffed on a bygone era of Cowboy Noir themes and fashions. They dug on the Media. They grooved on Morbidity. They feared Death and they said "hello" to Death. They were domesticated and they were Wild. The facts of their miserable lives disappeared through the turnstile of fantasy and blood. They became Mythic. Bonnie and Clyde re-errupt into contemporary life through movies and music and Folk Opera. Those ecological and economic times have returned. Who are Bonnie And Clyde? Perhaps you should decide. Featuring songs by Tony Millman and also a song adapted from one of the remaining poems by Bonnie Parker herself. Clyde, ever averse to ink, wrote only in elusive automotive ley-lines and, ultimately, monumental masonry."
